A Cybertronian shuttle lands at Autobot Headquarters...

It's New Recruit Day! That's right, folks, today is the day to welcome a pack of newbies fresh from Cybertron. The shuttles engines wind down and the cargo doors hiss open, giving the dozen-or-so mechs inside their first glimpse of Earth

Staring down at the young hot shot at his feet, Red Alert wondered exactly what had possessed Optimus to request these new recruits. Ones that could even stand on their own feet. He sighed before switching his datapad to his other hand and holding out the now free hand to Hot Rod.
"Welcome to Earth. You might want to see Ratchet about your equilibrium before it puts us all in danger."

Hot Rod beams. "Hey, thanks." He clasps Red Alert's hand and pulls himself to his feet. "Just gotta get used to the gravity here, is all."

Then his optics light up. "Is one of them Optimus Prime?" Shameless fanboy alert.

A big long necked creature stumbles past dragging a hover cart of scrap metal behind him.

He seems to almost be contemplating something deep when he stares at Hot Rod.

"...Hello. You, Hot Rod, pretty."

Well, that's enough to give even Hot Rod pause.

"Um. Thanks. You're... big."

Sludge nods.

"Me, Sludge, am biggest Dinobot. Me have to be careful. Not hurt pretty small things."

...Oh dear. He's been watching Earth movies.

Raises an optic ridge, and then laughs in amusement by Hot Rod's even more cultured method of greeting.

"I guess so. I'm Skyfire, one of the resident scientists and on-demand shuttle service."

Then straightens up to a more natural stance. "Are you assigned to join the front line warrior ranks, Hot Rod?"
