My personal fave was finding--when naked in the shower without my glasses and soaking wet--one of the big palmetto roaches on the INSIDE (ie with ME) of the shower curtain. I hate it when they get nervous and fly--they are too light so they flutter erratically i.e. toward ME.
Waking up with a scorpion on my hand was another big plus to the day.

Personally I think it's bad when you find a missing hamster in your shoe first thing in the morning when you're still half asleep. Poor baby, just absolutely got smooshed. Oops. And it was quite nasty too.
But the worst is on a camping toilet when you sit down and something tries to fly up you. *shudder* It's happened one too many times to me, I'm now afraid of bugs in toilet stalls.
