I've been wondering -- has all of the coverage of the student in Oxnard getting shot been rubbing you the wrong way as I imagine it would?

i'm kind of ashamed to admit that my news reading hadn't come across it. even after i read up on it, it doesn't seem to affect me, at least as regards this incident.

when you actually know someone that dies, the whole news/debate/talking about it thing seems kind of pointless, unless you're discussing it with other people who actually knew the person.
