it's like a finality/closure thing. With or without the rifle, I can't afford to go skiing. Like a much cheaper substitute for the sweetness of the ski trip, the rifle allows me to spend money on something sweet without going bankrupt.

That and...it was a screamin deal on EXACTLY the rifle I would choose were I to start from scratch, which is discontinued.
