And it seems that a chance conversation and a little exploring helped me to find a place to hide away for a lunch break or two.

It sounds nice, you're a great writer. I agree, that's what real life is about, the other things are just things we created..(work, stress, ect) I especially love being outside this time of year. I used to find that kind of peaceful place at my old house but here at these apartments it's tough because there's always some kind of noise.
