You never really realize what it's like to be off on your own until you are actually there. I think I've talked to more people in the last three weeks than I usually do in a year, and I haven't even been out of my room half as much as I could be. It's different, can't say it's good or bad, but at least I'm seeing ( Read more... )

1. Matlab is a ton easier to interface with than c, I actually prefer using it to C because seeing output just requires deleting a semicolon.

2. We've worked out a deal where one person a day cooks the meal for dinner, about 10 servings, and the rest of us eat it. Works out pretty well but I haven't had breakfast or lunch in forever because I wake up 20 minutes before work.

3. My Matlab program reads the settings and different data of the main drive signal live, I use getAida('var') if one system is controlling it, lcaget('var') if another is. Whenever I run my GUI my program automatically has an updated buffer file with all of the array values. They had other programs that did the same thing but none of them were collecting the data I am analyzing, so I made my own.
