So the Layoffs are on Thursday now and not tomorrow?

I'd always heard that 1/22 was "the" day.

Dunno why I thought Wednesday then. Dr. Insanity and I both believe that you wont be touched - whether that's fervent hope because we understand your value to the company or belief - we'll never know.

My 2nd level manager set 30 minute meetings for everyone in my group on Thursday morning. It is unlikely my group will go away completely, but I am pretty sure at least 1 of us will be sent away.

I am using all my time at work to get everything I am doing in order in case I need to hand off my work to someone else and start looking for a new job, which isn't a wasted effort since I should get more organized whether or not I get hit in this layoff.
