Wow...this is a really powerful piece. It's sad, but written with clarity because as we read what Alex is feeling, we feel it too. Nice job. I'm impressed with your writing skill because you're able to capture all corners of the spectrum. IE...What Mitchie was feeling, her mother, the priest, and pretty much the whole world.

I really can't wait for chapter two. You've got me hooked.

great story. i really liked it. You did do a fabulous job at projecting each person's emotions. I felt taken in by the way you were able to write this with such realism. Poor Alex, I could almost hear her crying. Can't wait to see what the letter says.
