A very interesting beginning... I like the interactions between Tom and Bill here... and the whole surrounding world you've built up. You write very well. :-)

Have to add to my end review that I love Tom's mom here, the way I picture her - it's a fascinating thought to imagine his mother someother than Simone :)

And it all is so lovely. Lovely story.

This is lovely, and so real life. We all suffer through injustice at work and everyday live and stuff. I love reading about the twins in such realistic situations. The writing is really beautiful too!

Your writing is so beautiful and lyrical, almost like a poem in places. It really set the tone for the story, right from first line.

Bill is so lonely and hopeless, and you made me wonder right away what kind of past he had with Tom. This made me feel so restless and longing for something and ready to scream at all the unfairness to Bill and take up for him. You stirred so many emotions in me as the reader, and I wasn’t expecting such a strong reaction in myself, but your writing really did it. I love how calm Gordon and Bill’s mom are contrasted with Bill. Bill’s bitterness is so real and understandable yet heartbreaking at the same time. The kid needs a big hug. I can’t figure out what’s going on with Tom, but I’m eagerly clicking for the second half. <3
