Had a delayed day because of the snow. Consequently, we cut into lunch-time to compensate. Workshops were pretty good. I'm being filleted tomorrow.

Just a quick note, mostly for tim's benefit, that I am now in Cambridge, MA after a fairly uneventful trip down. The weather was lovely. Little patches of snow here and there, but nothing to write home about. The GPS was useful and we only needed to be rerouted 2 or 3 times (sharp, sudden turns). So, yesterday mom had the nurse call dad. Which means she's talking. And today they moved her out of the ICU (the worst is over for now?) and up a floor to a room of her own. She's walking from the bed to the bathroom all on her own ( Read more... )

Her kidneys aren't working like they should. They're upping her water medication, and if that improves nothing, then they're starting her on dialysis on monday.
