time for new iconseses

It's Wednesday and I thought it was Thursday. Yesterday I was equally as messed up in the calendar stakes. Been a funny old week so far, full of one step forward two steps back stuff at work. It's always hard trying to introduce positive change in an environment where everyone has been very used to doing things in a crappy (but vaguely stable ( Read more... )

Work meeting things are brilliant! I loved not having to do a standard day in any job, whether it's training or management meetings or necessary experience or whatever! Update-thingy thus sounds like a great way to spend the day!

Why are you getting all your jabs so close together if you've got a bit of breathing space? Seems like you're making life pretty harsh on yourself!

I'm shattered at work because my dreams were too exciting. The waking moment involved me pleading with a tattoo artist in a tavern to work on my out of hours because I needed him to etch over a spell on my skin. It just said 'WaNTed' in red ink on both my legs, no idea what it meant now, but I remember actually using the line (to persuade the guy) "You know Harry Potter? You're familiar with the story right? Well it's REAL and it's happening to us RIGHT NOW! I need you to help me escape Voldemort!"

OH DEAR. Less cheese before bed pls...

It was only a one hour thing, but it was sufficiently interesting enough to make the day less rubbish by not being work! Free and good coffee puts such a shine on my day :D

We're having our jabs now mainly because it's easier. Hepatitis B though, you're supposed to have over 6 months - we'd be cutting it way fine if we did that so we're having it over 3 months instead. It's been kind of useful for me, as I've had the MMR vaccine which wasn't on my record (I was born in Germany and only moved over here in 87' when my Dad left the army) as well as getting the thingy next Monday too which I missed out on at school. So I'm gonna be bulletproof by the end of all this! Roar!

Cheese at bedtime makes for some freaky brain activity, no doubt. Your dream sounds pretty cool though! I'd have Pac-man tattoed on myself so I could summon him to eat Voldemort in one go. WOKKA WOKKA WOKKA NOM NOM NOM

Yes, in fact just thinking about the prospect makes me keen to make a coffee myself actually! It really DOES make a difference. I just can never be bothered to boil a kettle, stupid as that sounds...

Fair play on the easier, I was also thinking it must be a lot to pay in one go. I remember I declined rabies when I was travelling because it was so expensive and the likelihood of me getting it was minimal compared to where you're travelling. Like the idea of invincibility through vaccines! MODERN TECHNOLOGY! Now you just need to get into the Manuka Cult!

Rabies is the only one that costs money, thankfully! £100 I think it was. The rest are available on the NHS. Which is nice.

I'll see about taking some Manuka with us though, you make it sound like "Laura's cure-all magic tincture' - I now imagine you in a dusty top hat and tails, trying to sell it in a wild west town to the hick locals :D
