I always thought Frances McDormand should play a sister to the mother character in 'Malcolm In The Middle'. She can do equally deranged.

Frances McDormand can do anything in the world, including perhaps get involved with me... I'd enjoy a long distance relationship, as I'm sure she would too.

She did my favorite walk-up-to-the-stage-to-grab-the-Oscar ever. At times strutting, defiant, disbelieving, etc. She's marvelous. By rights, though, she should really be married to William H. Macy - they're kind of equivalent, when it comes to interesting actors who take interesting roles.
