So, I've had this for awhile. Paid for a lovely steampunk layout from gawariel_design. I've admired her work for some time, and was thrilled to get this chance at a commission ( Read more... )

It is all viewable! I also like the frames for the icons, btw. Must choose images accordingly!

I love all the little touches! Plus, hovering over the "back" and "next" features lets the little gears turn!!! :D

i LOVE it! it's gorgeous!!! and it all looks ok to me - though in firefox, the links & tags box is up a bit high, like you said, but it looks absolutely fine in IE (which is odd, every time i've played with new layouts it looks ok in ff but sucks in IE!)

oh, i like having the "sidebar" at the top there - what style is this?

Huh. Very odd! I had to take off the navigation bar, so now I'm learning how to make do without, but I love the little gears and stuff. Did you see the way the gear turns when you hover over the "back" or the "next" buttons? Do you guys even see those??? Heh. It's hard to tell when you're on the inside looking out!

oh wow that is so cool! how do they DO THAT?

i've never played with expressive at all, but i have used mixit and i think they are somewhat similar - i want to say there's probably a way you can fix it so you can have the nav bar at the top and the links/tag boxes will move down into the right spot... it might have something to do with the top margin or padding, but i'm not sure exactly

Oh, she totally could have designed it with the navigation bar, but I wanted the layout to take over everything! I really like the look of it. I sacrificed function for form!!! LOL! :D

Very cool!

Try googling the term "steampunk dalek". There are some very cool ones out there.
I need a decent Steam Icon myself...

I've found one in the past! It was a pretty cool looking Dalek. If I find any awesome steampunk icons, I'll let you know. :D
