Okay, this is all for Sara. (Upon request... :-D) So, my life is rather boring, but I'll do my best. Yesterday I bought War and Peace and I'm excited to read it. I'll see if it's as good as Anna Karenina is (was?) I've been having some fun... ahahahha ( Read more... )

hooray for deutschland!! that was a funny story. oh hooray for celestial soccer players! ...sadly i haven't seen a single game..only heard about the terrible luck of the us team and that it's ironic that the one team we _didn't_ lose to...won. crazy. the primary president in our ward is italian..and has major italian pride. my mom will not hear the end of it :/ :) ah well. my uncle just proposed watching tv tonight with brownies too :)

i assume that quote is from war and peace? sillies :)

lol the quote is from a tv show. hahahhah. anyway, the us team is pathetic and would never win anyway. they tied italy, and yes, tres ironic, except the us goal was an "own" goal (i.e. italy kicked it in accidently).... the us never scored. but i'm not patriotic anyway. no one cared. i think i watched too many games. i am now obsessed. silly zidane. i heart him.

hmmm i think my favorite part of your narative would be the part where you and your brother were yelling at the tv in different languages very exciting indeed! ha it must be exhilarating going to a foriegn game and hearing like a billion people screaming in several different languages. I started War and Peace three years ago but i was to stupid then to be able to keep track of all the characters, maybe I'll pick it up one day that'd be exciting then we could do this intense analytical discussion ha boy oh boy do i miss you lol

oh, dear... okay, my confession: i bought lots of other books, too, and so have not read War and Peace yet, either. so. when we both get the time (or, in my case, more initiative) we can have an intense analytical discussion and i'd love love love love to.
yes, my brother and i are crazy. it's quite fun, really. i adore soccer. (or, as my frere and i call it, FOOTBALL..)... unfortunately, in the united states, that can lead to some confusion. dang.

yes but your not going to be in the US for long you lucky dog lol and then you can use all those exciting words that I love and you can tell me there exact meaning and whether or not there really swear words or something horrendous... I'm sure some of the silly words I say mean something terrible in the UK haha but then again thats kinda why there so exciting cuz I have no idea what they exactly mean, yay for the english and british language!

it is kind of silly--and how some words (there are a few in particular) i would even use, because there's just no "bad connotation" for me, but for them... it would be like the WORST swear word. like most people don't even use it at all. but when i first just read it, it didn't strike me. so i will have to be careful. i think i know most of them by now.
anyway, soon to leave the US... yay!! (that probably shouldn't make me so happy, but i am a terrible citizen) i can't wait for britishness. :-D
