Yeah. It's the lowest dose of hormones out there, but it's still hormones. There's no harm in going off, letting yourself level out, and trying again (or trying another method) if it seems really bad to you.

The other thing you could try is taking a multivitamin, and a b-complex supplement. hormonal birth control depletes the body's stores of b vitamins (particularly b6) and that can cause mood instability. If you don't want to go off right now because of fear of pregnancy or cycle irregularity, trying those things might be a good first step.

Lemme know if you want more info or if I can help. :)

not worried about the pregnancy thing, since well...hmmm. And my cycles were pretty regular before. I am kinda worried about going off from it and then 1)my body going crazy and getting lots of wieght gain and mood swings with out it 2) What if I just happen to find an avalible penis in the next month and then I am not on anything and I decide to go back on which really isn't all that great for your body.... 3) I've been on some sort of BC since I was 16, I don't even think my body knows what to do with out it. And one of the reasons why I've been on it is to lessen my chance of having endomereosis which pratically every woman on my moms side of the family has. And I know that nuva-ring is basically the only hormonal that works for me since I tried an array of choices before I stuck with this one.

What are some side effects of going off from it?

Thanks jen! <3

I dunno if I would say your body will go crazy, but it'll change. You don't know what your baseline normal periods and cycle are like, so that'll be something new and different for you. It's okay to be concerned about it, but don't let that make your decision for you - gotta find out sometime, yanno ( ... )
