funny where our minds find themselves after running wild

about this time of day when i'm home (like right now), i tend to reflect. alone -- everyone else either asleep or far away and not going to bother me -- with some kind of emotional (read: not necessarily sappy, but emotional) music playing, loudly, on headphones if need be. most of the time i just wander meaningless web sites or stare at the ( Read more... )

:) you actually might like theoretical physics, if you like the programming. i had a friend who worked in a theoretical physics lab this summer, and several in experimental physics. and i think both are good, but i wouldn't know enough for either. and i don't know if this helps you at all or not, but i'm in a happy 200-level physics class now, going to probably take more math next year, and then take a few physics classes as a senior. not for a concentration or anything, but for my own education. i'm doing it that way both becuase grad schools won't see my transcript for the classes and i won't have to worry about grades as much, and because there was no way i could fit in the requisite math this year.

and besides, who says you can't major in math/compsci AND later work in a physics lab? your major is not your life, you can change your life whenever you like. like now. :)

enjoy your time home!
