i really like your entries. i always take the time to read them. this one accurately captured my own feelings towards Christmas time.
"I also do spend some time thinking about what I want to do after college, but I don't really get anywhere with that." i hear you on that one. i've changed my mind so many times, it's unbelievable, and with the end of college approaching, i'm pretty terrified.
i think we're all in the same boat, though. and i think i'll be in nyc this summer [again]. let's get lunch sometime or something when you're not busy doing research. it's unrealistic to think we can catch up on everything that has been going on, but it could still be fun.
p.s. i am currently reading A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce. if/when you get a chance, it's worth a look at, if you haven't read it already. :D
Wow, it means a lot to me that you really enjoy my entries. I've been starting to think that no one reads or even cares about my lj.
Yeah, I'm getting fairly worried about post-college plans. It's really almost time to start planning for graduate school (that is, deciding if I want to go to graduate school...?!). Oy vey!
Lunch next summer sounds like an excellent idea. I'll be most likely working the the same lab next summer. Perhaps we'll bump into each other on the LIRR on our way into the city again, too.
Ah, and I actually did read A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man in AP English. Though, that was senior year of high school, so I was doing so much that I didn't do anything with enough focus to truly understand or absorb it. I recently bought a copy of the novel to reread, though. It's on my bookshelf in my dorm! :)
