Ah yes. Of course.

Quantum Chromodynamics:
Pronunciation: "krO-m&-dI-'na-miks"

So here's the deal with Quantum Chromodynamcis (also called QCD, by lazy people like me): it's a theory of how the strong force holds quarks and gluons together so they can make hadrons. And hadrons are the elements that make up protons and neutrons.

And then it gets complicated, so my understanding stops. If you know anyone who understands the Standard Model of particle physics, they can probably explain it.
