Ok, umm, I'm not even sure what to say about this. Only that I'd be surprised if spray bacon is any good, I guess. And that apparently the idea here is that dieters are totally desperate for something that tastes vaguely like forbidden foods? And...the "recipes" are pretty scary. The most positive spin I can possibly put on this is that it might be a good transition measure for people who grew up eating at McDonalds, are trying to eat better now, but are a bit overwhelmed by a lot of changes. Sadly, that's not really a niche market, either.

I find that most of the soy meat substitutes are pretty good. I actually like soy bacon bits better on salad than real bacon.

Amen. That's what I've been taught, and I've been brainwashed all my life by dietitians :P I mean, bacon now and again, if you're otherwise healthy/not allergic/etc is not going to kill you on its own. Whether one chooses to eat it is another matter, but ack. And some of the other flavors were scary...PESTO is not so unhealthy that you shouldn't eat it in moderation, no matter what kind of diet you're on.

Just pig and salt is salt pork. Bacon is also smoked.
