Bingo. My nephew has fallen in love with that game, since it's simple and lets him feel like a grown-up, playing with all of us. Math isn't his strong suit so anything more complex is off the table at the moment.
Pretty much. I know they tried fixing this with the 2nd edition of the game, but the fact that it was killed almost immediately didn't help. Although supposedly a group of players are slowly working back through all of the previous sets, on top of new cards for the stuff post gamedeath.
Sadly 4E doesn't tickle my fancy, but when I stored them I figured they'd be useful if I ever get a game of C&C or one of the other spinoffs going (FantasyCraft/Pathfinder/Iron Heroes)
Also I agree with you, sort of. I think only having 4 lists tended to decrease the variety since it further highlighted the variance in power levels between figures. If they introduced more lists earlier it might have solved that problem.
