Yesterday, a lady comes up to my register, so when I move to ring her up, she asks if we do not have a certain item in a smaller size anymore? I'm not sure, but Jo was walking towards me, so I ask her. Jo replies with 'I just told her (indicating customer) we don't. It's coming in again tomorrow'. Well, my opinion would be because there are a lot of lazy store employees or ones who know nothing about the department they work in...so I guess if they feel an employee is saying no in a matter that makes them think they just don't want to bother to check, maybe they can find an employee who knows what they are talking about...........(sorry that has just been my experience)

Yes, I could understand it if it's a large store and the employee seems lazy/not to know what s/he's talking about.

However, we're a pretty small store. We need to know what we're talking about, and we need to give good service in order to keep the store running profitably.

Jo told her that 'Ma'am, we're out of *that item* right now. However, we will be getting it in tomorrow.'...If an employee tells you that, would you question it? I wouldn't. (as a side note: Jo manages the store...She's also incredibly nice to customers)

I guess I am just jaded when it comes to customer service industry people........there just seems to be more with a bad attitude then a good one anymore....*sigh*
