why has no one ever told me about the yummy-ness that is Mango? Oh god.

Best. Food. Ever.

Better than chocolate. Better than pineapple. Better than papaya. Better even than the-berries-that-only-grow-in-western-Africa-which-name-I-can-never-remember. (anyone else sensing a pattern here ?)

Though I've got to find some way to eat it

ah, but the joy of living in Europe, where you can't grow your own summer fruit, is: summer fruit all year round! W00t!

:giggling: I'll share ;). hee...

You should talk to Nett about mangoes - she's a fan also. Me...I like 'em when they are ripe - but most of the time we get them here when they are not quite ripe - that sucks.

Almost-but-not-yet-ripe mangoes are good, too. I mostly like the taste right underneath the skin. It reminds me of something else, something I'm sure I ate in Cameroon (but not mangoe, it's something different), but I can't remember what.

And thanks for explaining how to eat them :D. Fleur told me how to, but that didn't work...was a mess...

Oh I forgot...
How to eat a mangoeoeoeoe...

Cut in half, lengthwise.
Remove stone.
Take a knife and cut flesh through to skin, but don't cut skin, in a grid pattern.

Now press the back and the flesh 'cubes' will pop out to be ravenously bitten off. :)
