Title: Terror from the Skies
Characters: Will/Freedan/Shadow
Prompt: #87 Dragonfly
Word Count: 194
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Freedan flies it solo against some insectoid terrors.
Freedan swatted away another gruesomely large insect, it’s green, sludgey insides spilling to the ground around its empty husk, antennae giving a last deathly temor. Letting his heavy sword rest on the ground as the last of the bugs was sent to meet their maker, the Dark Knight couldn’t help but wonder to himself how on earth Will managed to fend the beasts off with a simple wooden flute. It almost had him in awe. Although maybe it was why he had switched off with Freedan, to get some rest.
Eyeing the door leading to the next room of the dungeon he’d have to face, he prepared himself for the next onslaught. At least his time for rest would come soon. Soon Shadow would have to help against some unknown, disgusting creature, and he had to fight with his hands only. Freedan could hear the buzzing of the insects again, and decided to dive into the next dungeon. He never freely admitted it to his close partners, and never would. Who knows what kind of field day Shadow and young Will would have with it?
Freedan was ever so slightly afraid of giant bugs.
