Call me crazy, but wanting to ban books or challenge them does nothing but encourage people who may not otherwise have looked at them want to read them to see what the fuss is about.

I've actually got a copy of Little Black Sambo and I've no idea why anyone would want to ban it.

You don't want people to read a book, then don't tell anyone about it. The more you make a fuss about it, the more people will want to read it. Just my two cents :)
