I walked to work again today, across the bridge and straight up Fifth Avenue all the way and never touched the sidewalk. To all the folks I see on the news, whining about walking 30 blocks or having to share a cab with commoners; demanding that transit workers be sent off to Little Guantanamo, and crying about the economy of the people they look ( Read more... )

I´m worried about getting home from the airport. Just not walkable. I don´t think supershuttle has the capacity. Oh well. I might be spending Christmas at JFK.

Probobly can still get a Taxi at JFK.

HOV Rules are Weekdays only 5AM to 11AM.

Though cabbies have been authorized to pick up multiple passengers en route.

My guess is Saturday / Sunday won't be a problem.

Now I'm thinking that the JFK (Ripp-off Express) takes you to Jamacia or somewhere where you can get the LIRR to Penn Station, at least.

Still think a taxi is your best bet.

There is a higher calling than the law and that calling is Justice. If Rosa Parks had obeyed the law, she would never have gotten to sit in the front of the bus.

Michael Bloomberg believes in segregation of the classes. Millionaires in the front of the bus in Manhattan and encroaching into the outer boroughs. Non Millionaires in the back of the bus, out of sight, spending money, serving the rich and keeping their mouths shut.

How dare they should want to ride in the front of the bus with him and his billionaire buddies!

Bloomberg believes that New York belongs to the RICH.

I believe that New York belongs to the STRONG and to the righteous.

WHO WILL WIN !?!

You go, girl!!! We have at least two MTA workers in my apt. building. Sari had a half-hour conversation with one of them today and got all the details about the true working conditions, the strike, and the underhanded dealings of the governor and the MTA board.
