On Anonymous Hate Memes
The newest irritation? How some people in a fit of etymological spasticity have bastardized the suffix of "anonymous," calling anyone who posts that way a "mouse." Um, hello. If you're posting anonymous vitriol, you're not a mouse--you're a pussy. The attempt to cutify the emotionally-retarded is like PC-ness on ( Read more... )

Oh, I don't know. Some lab mice are bred not for their social abilities but for their genes. The white little NMRI mice are the most unpleasent little buggers ever, aggressive and biting and shit. And you have to constantly watch so they don't start inbreeding or eat their young or something equally nasty. I can easily see them being applied to anonymous hate posters. :)

Bwhaha! When you put it that way, I can see your point! Sadly, I don't think that's what the pro-mice people have in mind: they're just being cute and nippy and sweet (and not stupid and childish and borrrrrrring).

Hehe! Aren't punctuation marks fun? I always skip the hate memes because the writers never seem to grasp basic usage, and there's something so eye-gougy about people who are both emotionally and punctuationally retarded.

I'm glad to hear about the story! It certainly makes my day better, and I hope contemplating the prettiness that is TW improves yours.

Hee! The contemplation of TW's prettiness is really a cure-all. Fannish hate going around? Writerly insecurity striking? World ending? A long immersion in Welling will fix it.

okay ... not so scary ...

sorry about the earlier post, i avoid conflict when i can, especially when i have no idea of where and whence it came from *blushes&

but, i like your coping/regrouping mechanism "A long immersion in Welling", i can so definitely do that

{hugs}

hope all is well in your world now, or as well as things ever get in anyones world

'Hate' is the most shocking word in the English language IMO, yet it's tossed about so casually. It's the only word I ask not to be spoken in the house.

Tom Welling *licks* Almost too pretty! I'd like to see him get a little bit dirtied ...

I do hope that "hate" in this case is being misused: "Dull, Jealous Whinge Meme" would be more appropriate.

As for TW? Prettiest man in the world.

The hate-memers aren't even up to bully status because they're off whispering in their corner; they'd never have the balls to step and go after someone face-to-face.

And Welling is the god of pretty! He's the face that's launched a thousand fics.
