One of my Adult Competency Failure Modes is food. (On the one hand, I'm cross that a species with climate control & solar panels & ridiculous conspicuous consumption items like light-up toddler shoes hasn't sorted out a workaround for having to eat yet. The Athenian chicken sounds pretty awesome, though I'm not sure if I could convince anyone else here to eat it. (That's always the problem...)

I'll have to try sesame oil the next time I do baked greens-- I like swiss chard better than kale usually, but it's a little more delicate.

Excellent! I'll be passing this along to folks.

Do you like lentils? They're a great way to add protein and heft to a basic vegetable soup, and cook up rather quickly. Baked lentils and rice also makes a hearty meal without meat.

I like lentils (& have a meatloaf recipe that's basically equal parts of lentil, ground turkey, & grated carrot with enough egg to stick it together) but grauwulf tends to refer to them as "Bitter pellets of food-hate" so, um, yeah...

Frozen veggies tossed into the pancake batter? I'm not sure how I feel about that...

Choose-your-own salad is a good summer thing, especially when I actually get to the farmers' market. That way we can include foods that not everybody likes & assemble it like a salad bar.
