Part of the Megatherium's third birthday presents included refiguring her crib so that the front is open and she can get out of it by herself. (She opted to keep the crib walls, rather than swapping to a Hello Kitty plastic toddler bed, so that the absurd quantities of stuffed animals she keeps in there wouldn't fall out.) She's doing quite well

Variety sounds like it would be a good thing. Because man, that sounds like a lot of Mike Mulligan.

It's another of those moments in parenting where the adult says, "I know this is age-appropriate, but I finished with that developmental phase some time ago..."

Fortunately, she seems to be easing off on the parental readings. She brought me the ridiculous book my brother got us about dragons loving tacos this morning, and it wasn't until 7:30.
