Wow, that piece of property sounds absolutely amazing! I hope you can get it. That sounds like heaven!

It's the parade of low-grade preschool-induced illness, with a week off for pinkeye that my child mysteriously didn't even get. Little joys of parenting, I guess, and at least we missed some of the really awful ones that I heard about from other people in her class.

I hope so! It's close enough to the sort of thing I want that other people don't to be in our price range. Just signed the contract, so it's down to getting the loan sorted out.

Buy really big rocks and put them in the middle of the four wheel trail. Install some cameras to watch the rocks. they will inevitably try to move the rocks but you'll catch them on video?

I think we're going to start with signage & wildlife cameras & see what happens. (I'm not sure we could *get* really big rocks down there-- it's quite a steep slope-- but we'll sort something out.)

Fingers crossed! I'm a little worried that this is going to be a big expensive thing we don't use that much, but our current house is only about 12 feet above sea level which makes me vaguely nervous every time the polar ice hits a new low...

And now I've got an excuse to take the "Woods in my Backyard" class I've been looking at and not signing up for b/c it's aimed at people with a least an acre. :)

Thanks! It'll give me a better place to plant those pawpaws, if your mother hasn't given up on them yet.

...We should totally try to reschedule that playdate from three months ago sometime. I'm sure I will one day have a free weekend without another cold to go with it.
