Unfortunately, we had to put Brandy (our doggie of 17 years) down yesterday. About two weeks ago, she had a seizure. Prior to that, she was falling down fairly often (turned out to be arthritis in the hips), but she would get right back up. We brought her to the vet, and the vet said we could safely medicate her, even at her age. They had her on

Awwww...HOI PUNK BRAT! I'm SO sorry. It does hurt like hell. I still cry over Vega sometimes. I can't imagine what a mess I'll be when it's Chunk or Oscar.

Ya know...the best cure for the lost-my-best-friend blues is a puppy. ahem. Millions are waiting for rescue as we speak. I know you can't replace Brandy. Don't expect to replace her. Just expect to heal yourself with a new friend, while you fondly remember the old one. 17 years! what a trooper.

Actually, we're getting another dog tomorrow (Tuesday, the 15). Everyone sayts it looks like Brandy does, but aside from being white, there isn't much resemblance. She's alot smaller, the face looks much different and she has alot less fur.

Also...when is good to come down and visit everyone? That said, come that time, do you mind if I bring Sarah with me? Let me know the answer to both!
