Sigh no more, ladies, sigh no more.

Paltry summary of what I did with my day

+ Working on Act I, Scenes I and II of Love's Labour's Lost today, which has been fairly painless thus far; some of the lines are not beautiful enough to stay, nor salvageable to make something noteworthy enough to keep in the "modern" context (if, indeed, the 1920s are "modern.") Let me just say how much I love Moth and how I want to cast him with a female in the role, playing an androgynous young thing. He lends himself well to this representation.

+ Tried to listen to Bleak House on a particular volunteer-made audio literature site; it was fairly awful, read by an American woman who kept stumbling over words and sounded so unenthusiastic. By chance, Love's Labour's Lost was the most recently-added play, and I tried that, but couldn't get any further than Berowne's first few lines due to  the overbearing over-acting. Shame.

+ Stuck a few cupcake recipes that I cut out from a magazine into a notebook and did an introductory doodle on the preceding page.

+ Played around with a few surnames, trying to find the right one. Since foreign-sounding surnames pull in fewer interview offers based on CVs alone, and because I quite dislike my surname anyway, I'm changing it to a more Anglicanised name. Since it's a fairly massive change, I have to pick carefully.

+ Found trial software to change a MIDI file of "Stars" from Les Miserables to sheet music so I can learn it when I get back to my keyboard. I love Roger Allam really hard.
