There was no risk game tonight, me and some of my friends play the game almost every monday. But we had some BBQ. Well anyway, something didn't sit well withme today. Ever try Prilosec? It's not terribly cheap even over the counter, but if you double-up (two pills a day instead of one...I take them both at night instead of spacing them out...and yes, this has been the subject of several medical studies and was shown to be just as effective as Nexium, the next-generation ulcer med when doubled-up) and stay on it for a longer time, say a month instead of two weeks, you may see some long-term results.

Me, my stomach always produces way too much acid, so I take two a night -permanently-. As long as I do, I rarely get heartburn, unless I do something really stupid (usually involving fried foods). Wal-Mart and Target both sell three boxes for around $25. If you're taking two per dose, three boxes last three weeks, so you're only paying around $30 a month, and no prescription necessary.

Thanks for the tip. The one pill a day didn't quite do it for me. And I take them when I get up before eating anything--as suggested.

I always take them before bed. They don't work quickly, but they should last 24 hours or close to it. Helps me sleep through the night -and- get through the next day. If I have heartburn, it's at the end of the day when I'm not stuck working or something. Your mileage may vary, though.

But yes: a British study on whether Nexium should be granted a unique patent despite it's chemical similarities to Prilosec found that a 40mg dose of Prilosec (to match the 40mg standard dose of Nexium) had almost identical relief of symptoms. I've been doing the double-dose for over a year now without a single ill effect. It -almost- does what Nexium did for me. I do still have to be careful with fried foods and if I'm really stressed.

As for getting some,are you kidding, I don't get girlfriends that easy. No not dead, just been busy, and down lately.Thanks for the hugs. I would have wrote you sooner but I never got a notice you wrote her in my e-mail, I just happened to stumble on it tonight.
