Uh, so sadly true XD.
Fairytales can really create illusions over little girls, so they grow up believing men are -right behind the door- just waiting for someone to save XD
It's pretty cruel- get over it, all that stuff, and convince yourself you don't need to be saved... but, in fact, when you stop beliving, you HAVE to be saved more then when you were just innocent XD
Maybe the right way it's in the middle: stop waiting for somebody having no more ambitions/focuses in life than save you, but don't stop believing the others care about you <3 and wait for love <3

I agree with you, one shouldn't stop loving because a guy is an asshole LOL but it's rather about knowing how to recognize when it's not worth it, you know?
