I noticed that sometimes I seem to forget how to count. In particular, when exercising, I can see why it's generally better to use a clock or a timer, rather than counting seconds off myself ( Read more... )

It seems that my counting fail manifests in other areas, too. There are many times where I lose in Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents for no other reason that I can see, beyond "I obviously forgot that numbers don't go: 1 2 3 5 6 4 7". And I don't seem to have the whole 'exercise' thing getting in the way that time, either. (c:

Yep, this is why I use an analog watch rather than a digital one when I exercise. Then I can go, Hmm, the arrow is pointing at the bottom again, yep, a minute has passed.

Whereas if I were looking at a digital watchface, I'd be going, um, I forgot that number I was supposed to remember. Arrgh!
