So, ten years after NBC's acclaimed series Merlin, we have NBC giving us...another Merlin series.

Huh?

Well, file this in the category of "excellent news I never thought I'd hear."

Monkey Island, one of my all-time favorite videogame franchises, is returning in the form of a WiiWare series, as well as an updated re-release of the original game.

I did a very happy little dance when I heard this. (No, you don't get to see.)

I had to go get my two first-ever cavities filled yesterday. The local anesthetic didn't take on one of my gums, so they had to use the galactic-sized needle to numb the entire right side of my mouth (plus tongue). That hurt more than anything else. So, I saw Fleetwood Mac in concert last night at Charlotte.

Awesome.

Loud, but awesome.

For the next couple of weeks, starting tomorrow, I'll be away on vacation, visiting Washington, D.C. and New York City. I won't have Internet access much if at all. I should return by the 29th. Until then, everyone take care!

Snow here in SC, President Obama, a disco station back on my satellite radio...life is good. Just one of those rare days where you can lean back and just marinate in the happiness like a nice warm sauna.

If you'd asked me, say, two years ago, I would have said I probably wouldn't have seen a black president in my lifetime.

And now look.

That was a spectacular acceptance speech.

For the first time in eight years, I shall sleep well.
