the depressions of a church job

I love my job don't get me wrong. But it can be very hard and depressing at times, working at a church. It's really two-fold. You get to see the happiness and joy of Christian people and how wonderful God can be. However, there's the other side too. Death. Sickness. Satan. Oh hon - she would tell you she deals with it one step at a time...sometimes one breath at a time. We don't always understand what the plan could possibly be when we have to endure hardships...especially something so devastating as the loss of your husband. But watching Ed during this time...it was like his faith came so easily to him. Maybe we all have to burn through layers of doubt at different rates of speed. For some, believing is easy. For others, doubt is always there. Ultimately, God sees our hearts and knows where our weaknesses are...we all have them. Doubt isn't the absence of faith - it just means we need more practice at trusting. You will get there dearie! By the way, what's up with Spring Arbor?? Any news?
