Here's how things went:
When Chris and I first got there, it was around 12:30. There was a bit of confusion since we bought our tickets online, but everything ended up okay. The flyer said that the show starts at 1:00, but nothing really happened until 4:00. We were SO DAMN BORED! It was so boring that some people were actually sleeping. The DJ was playing dub and roots reggae, but not one dancehall song. Everyone was disinterested. I tried to call a few of my friends, but the noise from the speakers made that a failure. Finally, a little after 4:00, a few people get on stage.

It was funny to watch this little guy. He was trying to hype everyone up, but the song was a pretty slow one, so he ended up being unsuccessful in his attempt. It was a group of singers. After this guy finished, another one came on.

He was no better. He had a good voice, but I didn't come to a reggae festival to hear a guy sing Luther Vandross - Don't You Remember. (No disrespect to Luther). Eventually, they left the stage and the boring DJ's came back. Fortunately, they didn't stay on too long, because Ce'cile came on stage. (or at least I think that was her)

If you disregard the fact that she was wearing an incredibly short skirt and a small top, every woman I know would love what she had to say. She was saying the whole independent woman speech. But the part that really got the ladies going was when she said that she doesn't go down on a man if the man doesn't go down on her. W/e! Anyways, then some guy came on... nobody seemed to care about him.

After this guy finished, the real fun began. Mr. Easy was the name, and this guy was hilarious!

He kept telling sexual jokes, but it was so hilarious because of the way he said them! The whole crowd would burst out in laughter and cheers. This guy was awesome!

Umm... I really don't remember too much about this guy, but I definitely remember the next guy: Red Rat! Everyone was going crazy when he went on stage!

He was saying "Everytime me come down to Miami, me have issues! Me first issue: R.Kelly!" It was so funny to hear him talk about him. He was saying how he's a freak and was making comments about the video, in which R.Kelly goes down on the girl for quite a while. His second issue was the cops and how they wouldn't allow anyone to smoke weed. He showed everyone his pound of weed that he constantly keeps in his back pocket. Then, he did the unthinkable.

He took off his jacket and had two rambo-style belts across his chest, filled with blunts that he threw in the crowd. This pic is of Red Rat doing a skit with a fake cop who was supposed to be concerned about his passing out of illegal substances. The skit was funny and had audience interaction, too! Then, some partner of his came on stage.

At the end of the performance, Red Rat threw a bunch of pictures of himself into the audience. Then, the fans got even happier when the next performer came on stage: Spragga Benz.

Spragga Benz was okay, but nothing special. He was on stage for too long, and people seemed to be getting tired of him.

This was his partner, who looked A LOT like Nelly! Anyways, he didn't help out in the performance, just made it longer. Unfortunately, this is the end of the pics. I'll post pics of the fashion show in another entry, but for now, I'll finish up here. After Spragga Benz, Buju Banton aka. "Mr. Mention", "Gargamel", "Voice of Jamaica" came on stage. Everyone loved him and his hip gyrations. He performed well, but it was another long one. Then, Tanto Metro & Devonte came on stage and had a really good performance. The only problem with it was that it was centered around skits and nothing else. After he finished, Beenie Man aka. "The Doctor"& "The Gal Dem Sugar" performed. His performace was great! At this point, I got kinda tired. I didn't stick around to watch Bounty Killer's performance. Instead, I made my way out of the crowd and got some frozen lemonade to drink. It was 10:00, so we left without seeing Sizzla and Elephant Man. Overall, it was a pretty good night, but it could have been better. That's all I have for today.
