Oh, and Japan claims to beat Philippines in length as an archipeligo, though I question their measurement as well. Indonesia obviously kicks both asses . . . .

uh.. Japan IS bigger than Philippines. But Philippines got 7,107 islands, while in Japan, they have 6,852 islands :) (although I know Indonesia got 18,000+ islands :P but Finlan's got... well... more, but usually very small.)
