“What’s your curfew?” Ryan asks in between desperate kisses. Downstairs Sharpay’s party rages on, but somehow he’s managed to seize some alone time with Troy.
“Midnight,” the other boy says glumly, peering at his watch. “Shit, I have to-”
“No!” Ryan clings to him. “I barely got to see you at all!”
Troy bites his lip, rolls over and reaches for his shirt. “Gabriella’s probably looking for me. I’m driving her home.”
The grandfather clock in the hallway outside begins to strike twelve.
“Troy, please…”
Troy lowers his eyes. “Don’t do this, Ryan.”
He tugs on his shoes, and leaves.
