Name: Laura

Age: (Please be ABOVE 13): 19

Got a nickname? Interestingly enough, my friends and family call me Laurie

Three adjectives that describe you: Passionate, opinionated, intelligent

Hobbies: Doodling, reading, writing, scouring thrift shops for old records, making collages, being politcally involved, protesting, hanging out with friends, wasting time in antique stores, debating with people, traveling, daydreaming, watching game shows (I kick ass at Jeopardy), visiting art museums, and, ah, eating. I'm quite good at that.

Who is your favorite character on That 70's Show, why? Least favorite?: My very favorite is Hyde. I'm pretty much convinced he's my soulmate, ha, it's kind of sad. My other favorite is Donna, she's just incredibly cool. And Kitty and Red are awesome, they practically make the show. Least favorite...I really can't stand Midge. Her voice is annoying and her character rubs me the wrong way. I don't like Bob that much either.

What kind of groovy tunes you're into: Oh wow, everything...Frank Sinatra, Queen, Steve Miller Band, The Apples in Stereo, Fall Out Boy, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Elton John, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles...mostly classic rock. I think I was born in the wrong decade. If I had to pick an all time favorite band though, I'd have to say blink 182. Every single song by them is just good, period.

What is your favorite color: Red

Pet peeves: Women who are smart but act stupid to get attention (e.g. Paris Hilton- it's like, thank you so much for advancing our gender! You do so much for womankind! Grr...), improper grammar, apathy, cigarette smoke, stupid people, people who don't vote, close-mindedness, animal cruelty, the majority of right-wing politics, cell phone usage in stores, myspace

Favorite book and why: "Kiss My Tiara" by Susan Jane Gilman. It's basically my Bible. Ms. Gilman has brilliant insights about life, relationships, careers, you name it...and plus she's hysterically irreverent about them all, which draws me in even more. Everybody in America should read this book.

Favorite flick and why: Mona Lisa Smile, because of the music and the era and because it makes me grateful that my purpose in life is not to "catch a husband". It's interesting to see how backward things were in the fifties, like when the college nurse gets fired for distributing birth control. Insane. Oh, and Secret Window is also amazing, I'm a sucker for irony and an unexpected ending. Johnny Depp can do absolutely anything.

Favorite song and why: "Take It Easy" by the Eagles. It makes me happy and it's catchy and the lyrics are brilliant. It reminds me not to take things too seriously. Last summer I actually stood on a corner in Winslow, Arizona while my dad took my picture :-) It was awesome. Another favorite is "Eve of Destruction" by Barry McGuire, again for catchiness and brilliant lyrics. Excellent social commentary. Check it out.

Favorite That 70's Show quote/episode: I just watched That Disco Episode today...Hyde learning to dance...good stuff...As for a quote? Basically anything Red says. He and Kitty have the best lines. "A car IS NOT a bedroom on wheels!"

Strengths: I can tell a good story, I can make you a nifty collage, I can carry on intelligent conversations, I am passionate, creative, and imaginative, I have no problem telling you my opinions, I'll proofread all your English papers, I can talk to anyone, I take criticism well, I have a good personality...

Weaknesses: I am kind of a slob. I disregard speed limit signs. I don't have a great deal of self control.

How you feel in regards to the last few seasons and character changes on the show: The first few seasons are the best ever. I don't particularly like the last ones. In fact, I hate the character changes quite a bit.
