I'd rather be a dumbass than have Red's foot in my ass . . .

Name: Amy.

Age: (Please be ABOVE 13): 21.

Got a nickname? No, sadly.

Three adjectives that describe you: Sensitive, passionate, creative.

Hobbies: Writing, livejournaling (obviously), theater, improv comedy, playing violin, learning Japanese language and culture (which is now also my major, nice how that works out!).

Who is your favorite character on That 70's Show, why? Least favorite?: Favorite? Kitty. She's sweet and adorable and seems like she's a little nuts, but I think she's got a better idea of what's actually going on than anyone else most of the time, lol. Least favorite? Laurie. I don't think I would be able to stand her if I met her.

What kind of groovy tunes you're into: I like intense, dramatic music. Maybe it comes with playing violin, but I like a lot of classical music, mostly from the Romantic era-- big symphonies based on famous stories, usually with lots of minor key. But I really have crazy eclectic taste; put my ipod on shuffle and you get a song from a musical, some classic rock, some teeny-bopper pop song I should be way too old for, an oldies favorite, some swing, some R&B, some hard rock-- all in succession with no rhyme or reason.

What is your favorite color: Purple, blue, and pink.

Pet peeves: Selfishness and related traits like arrogance and maliciousness. People who block communication by refusing to explain their problems (and expected us to figure them out?) or refusing to listen. People who use the word "literally" incorrectly. (No, you did not literally "die of shock" if you're alive to tell me about it!). Actually, a lot of grammar mistakes in general. (Affect vs. effect, it's vs. its, etc . . . ).

Favorite book and why: Right now, I would say "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse. It's spiritual but in a non-preachy, non-religious way; it just presents the journey towards enlightenment of one individual-- who in fact rejects all organized religions and teachers of his time-- and allows the reader to take what he wants from it. I like that sort of story, thematic but more illustrative than openly pushy about its agenda. I also am a huge Harry Potter geek. (See icon, lol).

Favorite flick and why: "V for Vendetta," because it combines a million themes I love: justice, a political/social agenda, a discussion of violent vs. nonviolent protest-- with plenty of action, plot, and even a little romance to keep things entertaining. Also, Franco Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet" because I love that play and the movie is just gorgeous.

Favorite song and why: "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis" by Ralph Vaughan Williams. It would fall under the dramatic instrumental category I mentioned before.

Favorite That 70's Show quote/episode: I don't know episode names or anything, but I got a kick out of the episode where Red (and Fez) stumble across Kitty's romance novels and we keep getting flashes of insight into Kitty's and Red's hilarious fantasies, and everyone keeps using ridiculous innuendo. (Actually, any time Kitty and Red use innuendo or do their mad dash upstairs is hilarious, lol).

Strengths: Writing, musical sense, creativity, tact, empathy.

Weaknesses: Oversensitivity, histrionic tendencies, pessimism, prone to depression/insecurity.

How you feel in regards to the last few seasons and character changes on the show: I tend to hate change in general, so I wasn't too happy about it, but I liked the show enough that I put up with it so I could see what happened.

BE RANDOM! RIGHT HERE!: There is a tornado watch on right now, and I am watching the storm and being online for the first time in my life because I actually have wireless and a laptop with a battery that lasts longer than 20 minutes. It's awesome.

I can make a fish: <'}}}><

I can say "jellyfish" in six languages.

And finally, please post a few photos of yourself: (OPTIONAL)
