I know for sure that the world is composed of mostly water. Each time I shut my eyes, give the dusty globe a labored spin, and place my finger on it when it stops squeaking, I open my eyes to find that I am pointing at nothing in the middle of the Pacific. This has happened three times already. So, for now I am at a loss as to where I am

haha. I'm not sure if you're talking metaphorically but I love playing that game with my study globe at home. one day when i spin it, i hope to be able to afford the plane ticket and just go!

Why not try Sydney? It's not as exciting as New York but I've heard it compared numerous times to San Francisco. I can take you to the zoo here and let me tell you, our animals are very different to one from amerikka. :P something about australia being one big land mass isolated from the rest of the world.

hey michcapish! how nice of you to stop in! i am only too flattered that you still "lurk" around my update-challenged lj. i'd love to try sydney. sooner than later, i hope!

Happy Year of the Dog to you...it's just around the corner (1/29) and it's supposed to be a much better year for most folks than last year (Rooster) which was a hard year for most. (i heard lots of these types of predictions last lunar new year, so i'm just reiterating second-hand re-hashed info, but still...)

Sounds shallow but I'm looking forward to the celebrations. I was in Chinatown last night and all the restaurants have put up posters about booking seats for the day's special lunch and dinner banquets.
