awww Brin, I'm furious for you. I'm glad to hear I have another comrade in the "My Parents Are Nazis" club. Anyways, the establishment gets messy after a spell, so dont worry, they'll lax themselves eventually. After all, you ARE their oldest daughter, and your faults are every bit their faults, as you are the experiment (the oldest child, particularly the oldest daughter, is always an experiment. Every day is new).
Well, that's my spin on it anyways.

ah jeez...more or less its the result of a tonnn of lying that they eventually caught on to, and they're pissed off becuase i drove a bunch of people and im not legal yet and they're making a humongus deal out of it
