Boredom is depression

While I think that the words can be interchangable (I'm not depressed I'm just bored and vice versa), making the two things essentially one only makes depression a tangible problem that is easily fixed, as well as implying that friends are to blame for depression and should start changing it, when in reality the only reason people are depressed is due to genes and unfortunate circumstances, things that cannot be stopped like boredom can.
