Ringo grinned. "One thing I've found is that very few people in Baltimore look up." Then she shrugged. "And if someone does spot us, it shouldn't be a big deal?" It had never occurred to her to wonder about the implications of someone seeing ATs in a world without them without being from Fandom where that sort of thing got taken in stride.
"Maybe they'll think it's a game," Alluka said, giggling. She backed up a few paces, away from the edge, then looked at it thoughtfully. "There's going to be a lot of funny jumps on these buildings, isn't there?"
"Yep," Ringo agreed. "So take things slow. You're still learning what to watch out for in unfamiliar places, remember, so there's no rush."
Ringo looked out over the next few buildings, constructing a map of obstacles in her head. "Like, look out for that air conditioning unit on top of the building over there."
