I respect your opinions and I agree that women should work if they want, I also however believe that however dedicated a working mother may be they cannot offer the same quality upbringing that a stay at home mother can. I don't know what race had to do with anything so I'll leave that untouched. And as far as education the farther I've gone along I've realized that while its not universal, college certainly does not make you any more equipped for life. Furthermore, while drugs can adversly affect a life, it is not always for the negative, one of the smartest guys I know was into hardcore drug use for a long period of his life, and while he has cut back still dabbles, so drug use is not a reflection of intelligence.

Hey Maggie, what's up; long time no see. Well, I feel like putting my 2 bits in on this little donnybrook waiting to happen. First of all, I think you're right on most points- women should have the opportunity to work if they want, and that's not wrong. When people like your step sis go all extreme like that, they are making a common mistake. In fact, a bunch of girls here at UD got pissed off when we read in Aristotle where he said that the man is the ruler of the family; they shouldn't have though. Aristotle was just saying that's the way it turned out naturally in the majority of civilizations at the time, he didn't say it had to be that way. You were right, the New Testiment would back you up, she was wrong. However, one of the things we're learning about at UD is something called rhetoric. You use rhetoric on people who aren't smart enough to comprehend real philosophy. With these people you appeal to whatever more shallow thing they might be thinking about, and use that to point out the truth. You always tell the truth, but in a ( ... )
