Book #1 down for the summer...

I just finished reading The Da Vinci Code; It is probably one of the finest books I've ever had the pleasure of reading.  The story is enticing and gripping.  It is, simply put in one word:  amazing.

I cant wait to see the movie, though I've heard its not as good as the book.  Which is to be expected, movies rarely exceed the brilliance of a book.

angels and demons was a thousand times better than da vinci code, and i completely agree with you about the da vinci code.

and catch 22 was simply... amazing, haha.
its one of the few books that i have actually read where i laughed out loud reading it.

i loved the movie. though i should warn you, i think the screenwriter only skimmed the latter half of the book. however, all the casting and acting was excellent, and it kept the intensity. have a good summer, see you in the fall!

angels and demons was def. better of those two. and while the movie was directed very nicely, it was kind of boring since it followed the book pretty exactly and there were no surprises.

chaim potok is also good too, i've read something else of his. or maybe it's that and i just don't remember. anyways, that's a good list!

Movie was pretty good, although the movie did have a little bit of a different ending that frankly pissed me off. Other than that, it was worth the ticket.

I highly recommend to read The Promise and Crichton's Jurrasic Park; two books that truly are hard to put down.
