Younger sibling (5 year difference) -- fiercely protective.
[father] and [mother] died of injuries sustained in the crash, but both children miraculously escaped with barely a scratch.
Despite the workload of school, taking care of her brother, and her membership on a competitive kendo team, she still managed to balance it all seemingly without a problem.
While at school she made the acquaintance of one Julian Ikeda, a young man who shared many of her interests, including kendo. She and her brother both became friendly with him, but sadly he proved to be mentally unstable.

The exact details of the confrontation are unknown, but the man apparently went after [her brother], who received an injury which, though relatively minor, was enough that Yuuko became quite upset and turned on their attacker, almost killing him despite being unarmed herself.
Very intelligent and has a near-photographic memory. Very skilled at emotional manipulation and convincingly acting in a manner she believes people want her to. can become quite violent when provoked, and her martial arts training can make her somewhat dangerous.
At that point she seemed to have taken her friend Julian's delusional world for her own (though she claimed to be a "housekeeper" for the Shinsengumi, rather than a fighter).

God some people are so inconsiderate.
That aside, we got further last night than I've ever been before. Yup, lessee. Gaia, Meteor-style. Doyleton (bookstore - twin pines). mail room. showers. Ruins. Courtyard. Did you see what I did there?
Gaia. We got punted to Gaia.
And there was nobody there except for us and a Tonberry (we fried it goooood) and we nearly crashed the airship ('nearly', whew) but we landed in front of Kalm (Cloud comes in handy sometimes, i guess) AND IT WAS TOTALLY EMPTY Reeve would have a heart-attack if i ever submitted these notes hahaaaa, I even checked for Marls. Nooooope. Hang on, I've mixed stuff up a bit; airship, landed, kalm, checked for marls, TONBERRY. There. Then we tried to head out, and BZZZT we're back in Lametasticia. + zombies.
We spent the whole night hopping around like retarded fleas in a reality-warped space thingawhatsit. Upside? We CASHED IN on a Thunder materia, how cool is that? Of course, Cloud DID hand it to Zack (jerk), but I guess that's just 'cuz I've already got a mountain of awesome stuff and they don't want to be any more jealous than they already are.
Downside; I spent the whole thing after getting zapped back to Earth as sick as a dog.
