irrational independence is the american disease - fighting for your right to be wrong, my way or the highway ("dude, we're driving, the highway's a much better idea"), if you don't agree then you're an asshole, my opinion is as valid as anyone else's ("dude, your opinion might be valid, but it is also wrong).

I don't mean you specifically, for all I know you're swedish. I'm making a sweeping generalisation.
