you're 26, you need to just go ahead and ask her out instead of waiting for people to get together where she might be... i don't say this to be mean. i say this as a friend.

the worst she can say is "no." who knows--she might be interested. but i'm sure she knows you like her by now... if you don't talk to her soon she'll think you're weak. you need to take care of this soon. ask her to a movie or something.

i'm sure we'll have something here soon. right now we're still working on getting everything moved in and situated (and clean!) :)

thanks, wes!

Kils is a good product, and about the best Primer on the market for hiding colors, stains, or markings... the casual colors (I have only seen it at Wal-Mart) I have not had as much luck with though. It says one coat to cover the original color (the wording is tricky in their gauruntee), but it may take two to actually look good. Which is ok because that is the case most times. But seriously, for the work I do now with these rentals, I have primed walls before that were just covered in crayon markings, dirt, smoke residue, food, and everything else you could imagine - and Kilz primer always covers it up so that it won't show through to the wall paint. Good stuff. But I prefer Benjamin Moore for my wall paint. Latex for walls (usually flats because you can spot paint later or touch up and not notice a bit!) and oil based for woodwork and trim (usually semi gloss, doesn't touch up as easy but I like the contrast with the flat walls). Good luck with everything.

I was wondering about the Kilz casual colors... Do you suggest I just use the primer and then regular paint? I gotta' do something in these rooms though... they bother my allergies/asthma!

You should post pics of your rentals. So are you a real estate person now? How many rentals do you have?

It depends on price I guess, but I suggest Kilz Primer (Lowes has it for like $10 a gallon and it goes a long way) first. They have oil base and latex. I prefer the way Oil covers. It does the best job getting rid of stuff you want to get rid of, but it also has more fumes and WILL mess you up if you don't vent and take breaks. Usually you can't paint latex over oil, but you can (and should) paint latex wall paint over oil primer. Primer dries with a surface that any paint should stick to. As far as your wall paint goes, I prefer Benjamin Moore myself, but Porter or Sherwin Williams is fine too. Just don't get really really cheap paint like Wal Mart's off brand paint selections. They are usually messy and milky thin ( ... )

i am so proud of you. your house is beautiful. within no time it will be the one place you can't wait to get home to and snuggle up on your sofa to watch a movie instead of going to a theater. perhaps cinderella :-)

My sis got it for me for Xmas... I'm not supposed to open it until then... ;) But I'm excited about my house. I love it. I can't wait to finish some more rooms!
